Exhibition of Applied Arts
In 2013, a unique Exhibition of Applied Arts was organised in the French House, which includes the oldest exhibits of past centuries. The collection included jewellery dated from the 18th and 20th centuries, handmade carpets from the early 20th century, household items - jugs, kumgans, samovars made of copper and brass from the 19th and 20th centuries, cold steel, horse equipment, etc. The oldest item of household goods was a measuring cup of 1748, the most unusual - a silver tooth-/earpick with a ruby insert which belonged to Abylay Khan.
