Exhibition Organized by JSC "Nurbank"

Today, a unique exhibition organized by JSC "Nurbank" opened at the French House. The occasion was the launch of a new advertising campaign reflecting the Bank's core principles – respect for traditions, honesty, and openness. The updated media campaign, its visual concept, and video scripts were developed within the Bank. The idea is based on the preserved folk art items that show the traditions, life, and culture of different peoples of the world, including Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The collection of applied art has been gathered by the Bank over many years, and now the residents and guests of the city of Almaty have the opportunity to see the historical heritage with their own eyes.

The collection includes jewelry from the 18th to 20th centuries, handmade carpets from the early 20th century, household items – jugs, kumgans, samovars made of copper and brass from the 19th to 20th centuries, cold weapons, horse gear, and more. The oldest exhibit among the household items is a measuring mug from 1748, and the most unusual is a silver toothpick-ear scoop with a ruby insert that belonged to Abylaikhan.

This is not the first exhibition organized by the Bank. In the international airports of Almaty and Astana, a collection of 20 costumes of Turkic nationalities, which inhabited the territory of Kazakhstan for three millennia, by well-known Kazakhstani designer Muslim Zhumagaliyev was exhibited. That collection was based on male and female attire from various eras – Andronovo, Saka, Turkic periods, the Hunnic period, Kidaly, Kipchaks.

"The Kazakhstani society has only recently started considering the restoration of historical artifacts," noted Kantar Orinbayev, Chairman of JSC "Nurbank," in his welcoming speech. "Nurbank employees and affiliated companies have been collecting an archaeological and historical collection of decorative and applied art items for many years to preserve the continuity of Kazakh culture. Our advertising concept is based on trust, protecting clients' interests, and respect for history. Hence the campaign slogan – 'The Bank that Preserves History.' For this idea, we opened the exhibition of decorative and applied art collection at the French House, which is open to everyone.

During the event, the results of JSC "Nurbank"'s activities over the past 10 months were also presented.
