PRESS RELEASE
Almaty, May 30, 2014
Nurbank announced the traditional campaign 'Time to Give Warmth' on the eve of Children's Day. As part of the campaign, festive events will be organized in 16 cities of Kazakhstan for pupils of boarding schools, orphans, and children without parental care.
'Children's Day is, above all, a reminder to adults of the ability to give many children, deprived of parental care, a chance for a bright future. If you have the opportunity to help with words, deeds, money, or attitude—it doesn't matter what or how—it’s important to realize this opportunity and certainly help! These positive impressions might last a lifetime,' said Kantor Orynbaev, Chairman of the Management Board of Nurbank JSC.
Additionally, Nurbank supported the group 'Dudar-ai', consisting of four pupils from orphanage No. 1 in Almaty: Yermek, Serik, Kairzhan, and Akhmet. As part of the campaign, Kantor Orynbaev, together with the children, visited a men's clothing store in Almaty, where the young musicians independently chose costumes for participating in various song contests.
Among the many charitable and sponsorship projects implemented, Nurbank pays special attention to the least protected segments of the population. The 'Time to Give Warmth' campaign is annual and is conducted by Nurbank throughout Kazakhstan to provide material assistance to orphans and children without parental care. Since 2008, Nurbank has been a partner of the joint social project 'Road Home' with KTK, aimed at promoting the adoption of orphans. The main goal of the project is to help orphans find a new family. According to Mr. Orynbaev, this program not only helps to draw society's attention to this issue, but also has a real impact on solving this social problem.
'According to our estimates, thanks to the 'Road Home' project, about 300 Kazakhstani children have found families,' concluded Mr. Orynbaev.
