PRESS RELEASE
Almaty, December 23, 2013
On the eve of New Year and the December holidays, JSC Nurbank organized a traditional charity screening of Disney's animated film 'Frozen' for orphans and children without parental care as part of the 'Time to Give Warmth' campaign. During the campaign, Chairman of the Board of JSC Nurbank Kantar Orynbaev and 30 residents of the Orphanage No. 1 in Almaty attended a film session at Kinopark 11 IMAX 3D located in Essentai Mall.
"On the eve of New Year, children who are not fortunate look forward to surprises, miracles, and gifts more than anyone else. But most of all, they long for family warmth, communication, and support from adults. Today, we went to the movies like one big family, ate popcorn, and discussed the plot of the cartoon. I hope that the New Year becomes a bit kinder and more joyful for the residents of orphanages. We urge everyone to help those in need and not to remain indifferent when there is an opportunity to help," said Chairman of the Board of JSC Nurbank Kantar Orynbaev.
After watching the film 'Frozen', the children were treated with New Year gifts and refreshments.
Among the many charitable and sponsorship projects being implemented, Nurbank pays special attention to orphaned children and children without parental care. Since 2008, Nurbank has been a partner of the 'Road Home' social project in cooperation with TV channel KTK, aimed at promoting the adoption of orphans. The main purpose of the project is to help orphans find a new family. According to Mr. Orynbaev, this program not only helps to draw public attention to this problem but also genuinely influences the resolution of this social issue.
"Thanks to the 'Road Home' project, 32 children found families in 2013," concluded Mr. Orynbaev.
