Almaty, December 7, 2012

Rauan Daukenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC 'Nurbank', and Saken Turdaliev, Deputy Akim of the Almaty Region, signed a Memorandum of mutual cooperation in Taldykorgan.

The parties, assessing the socio-economic situation in the region, discussing the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as the potential opportunities and needs of the region's population, defined in the signed document the general directions of bilateral cooperation.

"Signing the memorandum confirms our intentions to expand our presence in this region of Kazakhstan. The memorandum will allow the Bank and the regional akimat to cooperate on the issues of socio-economic development of the region, improving the welfare of its population, expanding the Bank's infrastructure and service offerings, as well as resolving existing problems," said Rauan Daukenov.

In particular, the parties agreed to develop a joint plan for the effective implementation of state and regional programs, to develop and implement joint lending programs, including co-financing. In addition, the Bank and the regional administration intend to implement the state program for the development of housing construction through a mortgage lending system, introduce advanced and latest achievements in the banking sector, expand the Bank's infrastructure and range of services provided to the region's population.

As priority areas for developing its business in the Almaty region, the Bank identified the expansion of the Bank's infrastructure and range of services provided to the population in terms of issuing tender guarantees for public procurement, accepting payments from the population, issuing salaries to civil servants, pensions, social benefits, and other services.
