PRESS RELEASE
Almaty, September 28, 2012
'Cleanliness is the Key to Health!' Under this classic slogan, JSC 'Nurbank' employees will hold the 'Bankers Against Trash' campaign on September 29, 2012, aimed at raising awareness about the pollution of recreational areas. Setting aside all their affairs, 200 bank employees and Kazakh pop stars will clean the Medeu gorge from trash.
Any park visitor can participate in the event. JSC 'Nurbank' will provide all necessary tools to participants. Bankers intend to make the city cleaner and more beautiful.
'This is our second time organizing a volunteer cleanup day. Often, visitors come here to relax and don't think about cleanliness, leaving bags and cans throughout the gorge. There are also those who notice the trash but do nothing to clean it up. Today, we invite everyone who wishes to care for the appearance of Medeu and help make it cleaner,' said Rauan Daukenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC 'Nurbank'.
A special program will be available for reserve visitors: music, contests, and catering. The unique feature of this campaign compared to the one held by the Bank in April 2012, 'Green Cleanup Day,' is the participation of Kazakh pop stars.
Recall, on April 21, 2012, as part of the 'Green Cleanup Day,' a special event was held for orphans and children without parental care in the Alma-Arasan gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau. 150 Bank employees and 40 children from the 'Zhan Uya' specialized complex, boarding school No. 8, and children's homes No. 1, No. 2 in Almaty participated in the event.
Note: Journalists interested in attending and participating in the 'green' cleanup day should notify their names, surnames, and the exact composition of the film crew for television representatives in advance.
