Nurbank has been awarded a commemorative award by the National Payment Corporation (NPC) for the successful implementation of the project to launch interbank QR payments and instant transfers by phone number through the Interbank Mobile Payment System infrastructure.
The project for the implementation of the interbank QR code is carried out on the initiative of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aims to create a unified standard for cashless settlements among financial organizations. The new infrastructure provides customers with the ability to make purchases and transfer funds regardless of the bank servicing the seller or recipient.
The project is of particular importance to small and medium-sized businesses. The use of a unified interbank QR code allows entrepreneurs to accept payments from customers of various banks through a single QR code, eliminating the need for multiple payment terminals and simplifying the customer service process.
For Nurbank clients, the service is already available in the Nur24.kz mobile application, where users can make interbank transfers by phone number and make purchases using a unified QR code.
The Acting Chairman of the Board of Nurbank, Alexey Mazhuga, noted that the bank's participation in the project was an important stage in the digital transformation of financial services.
"Joining the interbank QR code system and instant transfers by phone number through the Interbank Mobile Payment System infrastructure is a logical continuation of our strategy to develop modern digital services and improve the quality of customer service. We strive to offer our clients the most convenient, fast, and secure payment solutions. We are confident that the introduction of a unified payment infrastructure will contribute to the further development of Kazakhstan's cashless economy and enhance the availability of modern financial services for citizens and businesses. Nurbank will continue to implement innovative solutions that meet the best industry practices," emphasized Alexey Mazhuga.
The award received confirms Nurbank's active participation in implementing government initiatives to develop the country's modern payment infrastructure and reflects the bank's consistent work in implementing innovative digital solutions that enhance the convenience, speed, and security of financial transactions for clients.
