Almaty entrepreneur Vyacheslav Banshchikov opened GONS deposits in the name of three children from low-income families.
Currently, the JSC Financial Center is conducting a campaign under which educational savings deposits are being opened for children from social categories by party deputies, famous personalities, and prominent figures of Kazakhstan. Previously, as part of a charity event supported by the Financial Center at AO "Nurbank" Astana, Ilya Ilyin and Rio Olympic silver medalist Vladimir Levit opened deposits for orphanage children, and in Taldykorgan, the "Financial Center" opened educational deposits in AO "Nurbank" in the name of orphaned children as part of GONS.
Currently, 4 banks are participants in GONS. In turn, Nurbank offers the highest annual effective reward rate of 14%. The initial deposit in all banks is the same — 3 MRPs (6807 tenge in 2017). Thanks to the GONS program, it has become possible to accumulate funds in an educational savings deposit while receiving bank rewards and state bonuses. The annual yield of educational savings deposits is 19-21%. The savings on the family budget amount to a total of 30-70% of the education expenses.
