On October 7, 2016, JSC 'Nurbank' performed the payout of the first tranche of compensation for individual deposits in the national currency (tenge), due to the transition to the freely floating exchange rate regime.
Compensation was provided to depositors who reissued their deposits in September 2015 and did not withdraw them for one year in accordance with the terms of the Compensation Payment Procedure.
It is noted that when calculating the compensation amount, the exchange rate of the national currency (tenge) to the US dollar as of August 18, 2015, was used - 188.35 tenge per one US dollar and the exchange rate of the national currency (tenge) to the US dollar as of September 30, 2016, was 334.93 tenge per one US dollar.
The payment of compensation to depositors who reissued their deposits in October and November 2015 will be made by November 10, 2016, and December 10, 2016, respectively.
