On September 1 this year, a new school for 1,200 students, built as part of the pilot national project 'Comfortable School', opened its doors in the village of Koshmambet in the Almaty region.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek and the Akim of the Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev.
The new modern comfortable school creates a functional and safe educational environment for children. Separate blocks are provided for primary and senior students. The school also features a barrier-free environment for children with special educational needs, equipped with modern subject classrooms, STEM laboratories, robotics classes, a choreography hall, 4 sports halls, co-working and relaxation areas, and game and sports grounds. Special attention is given to security measures: digital video cameras and turnstiles have been installed.
KazSMU LLP is the general contractor for the construction. Nurbank's banking guarantees enabled KazSMU LLP to participate in the tender and complete the school construction in the shortest possible time. The total amount of banking guarantees was 3.3 billion tenge.
During the opening ceremony, the Akim of Almaty region, Marat Sultangaziev, noted: "Under the national project 'Comfortable School', we continue to open modern educational institutions that provide comfortable learning conditions."
The pilot national project 'Comfortable School' in education is carried out by direct order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and is aimed at overcoming the deficit of student places and providing a comfortable educational process. We take particular pride in the fact that priority in the project's implementation is given to local manufacturers, which supports the domestic economy and creates new jobs. Thanks to Nurbank's banking guarantees amounting to a total of 3.3 billion tenge, our client KazSMU LLP managed to win the tender for the construction of the school and complete such a significant social project ahead of schedule.
Financing educational projects is always a priority for us. We are sincerely pleased that a new modern school has appeared in the village of Koshmambet in the Almaty region," said Gulnara Musataeva, the Chairwoman of the Board.
