In Kazakhstan, since the beginning of the year, the production of sausages has increased by 2.3%, reaching 32.8 thousand tons. Nevertheless, the food market still largely depends on imports: in 2023, 45 thousand tons of sausages were imported into the country.
Domestic producers, with the support of the state and second-tier banks, are actively strengthening their positions in this industry. The local sausage shop of IE 'Masaeva' also contributes to the development of the industry, providing high-quality products to the population of the Abay and East Kazakhstan regions.
The sausage shop of IE 'Masaeva' has been operating since 2018, specializing in the production of sausages, semi-finished products and delicacies. The production operates according to the traditional GOST recipe, complying with all sanitary standards. The shop produces up to 1 ton of products per shift. The small production faces challenges in competing with imported products from large foreign manufacturers. To attract the attention of the domestic consumer, the company continuously works on expanding the product line and scaling up production. For these purposes, this year the company's management secured a loan from JSC 'Nurbank' for the purchase of a high-speed vacuum cutter for meat grinding. The loan rate was subsidized by the 'Damu' Fund.
Asel Masaeva, head of the sausage shop IE 'Masaeva':
The competition in our field is quite high. Our main competitors are sausage production companies from Russia and Belarus. Despite this, we actively participate in the development of the food industry in our country, producing tasty and healthy products for our citizens. With the aim of scaling and modernizing our shop, in 2020 we acquired a sausage syringe of Belarusian production, and in 2024 a vacuum cutter. The purchase of equipment was made possible by the financial support of Nurbank and the 'Damu' Fund. We have many goals to implement for the expansion and development of the shop, and for our future projects, we plan to continue our cooperation with Nurbank.
