Nurbank Finances Medical Sector Projects

Nurbank Finances Medical Sector Projects

One of Nurbank's priorities is identifying and implementing socially significant projects with substantial potential that impact the quality of life for Kazakhstan's population.

Medicine is a unique field that demands responsible action since it concerns human health and life. Everything matters here: the quality of services, customer care, warranties, options, and much more. Therefore, Nurbank highly values its partnerships with clients in the medical sector, thereby contributing to the sustained development of this field. Nurbank takes special pride in its clients—young professionals who have already earned recognition in the medical community and are launching their own businesses. Nurbank is always ready to assist in this endeavor.

A Nurbank client, dentist, and owner of the family dental clinic BeSmile in Uralsk, Turgunghali Amanzhol Serikbayuly, shared how he established his own clinic, who helped him, and how his business is developing:

— Amanzhol, you are only 29, and you have already opened your own clinic. Can you tell us how this came about?

— Initially, without any doubt, I chose this business because I am a dentist. My experience has shown that I chose a profession that I truly enjoy.

How did it all start? After studying to become a dentist, I got a job as a technician in a clinic, gaining experience in making ceramic dental crowns. Working as a dental technician and dentist, I opened a small laboratory at home, equipped a special office, and had a few technicians working on my team. Together, we serviced 5-6 clinics. I then built and renovated my laboratory. I began earning trust and frequently received referrals. The services of my laboratory were in great demand in Uralsk, where I became quite a renowned dental technician.

Gradually, I transitioned from technical work to medical practice, joining a clinic as an orthopedic dentist. During this time, I honed my skills in performing complex, costly dental restoration and prosthetics, developing a unique technique. I was bringing in 4-5 million tenge per month for the clinic, and I started to think: I could be working for myself. All my earnings were spent on self-development in my field. It was gratifying that technicians and novice doctors consulted with me, and I conducted trainings with them.

Eventually, I learned to perform complex, expensive procedures like veneer installation—a very delicate and precise task.

The next career stage was joining another dental clinic, led by my sister Shatyrbayeva Nuriya Nsankova. Thanks to her work, the clinic became part of the base of healthcare entities providing medical services under the State Guaranteed Benefits and the compulsory social health insurance system. She actively signed contracts with insurance companies, attracted experienced doctors, and optimized work processes. The clinic gained popularity and flourished.

By then, Nuriya was already working with Nurbank, obtaining loans for clinic development. However, it was not our clinic, and we couldn't fully relish our success. That's when we started contemplating opening our own clinic. This became our biggest dream.

Working in dentistry for over 10 years, I realized it was time to start my own business, where I could make my own decisions, choose work materials, and use the latest technologies.

Nuriya frequently suggested searching for a space, starting with a small office with two chairs, then expanding. But after thoughtful consideration and heeding Nurbank's advice to use state support from DAMU, we decided to start at a higher level and purchase a building for our clinic. That's how we received our first loan from Nurbank.

Were there any difficulties in attracting clients to the new clinic?

By the time the clinic opened, I had my client base, as did Nuriya. As soon as the clinic opened, patients started coming to us. This means a lot to us, as we feared we might have to wait some time to promote the clinic. We are very grateful that they followed us and remained loyal. It's believed that patients always trust the 'doctor' after proving their professionalism and having positive experiences. It doesn't matter where the chosen doctor receives them. Our case confirmed this fact.

Besides existing patients, new ones appeared, learning about us via social media, word-of-mouth, and recommendations from friends. Thus, we 'bypassed' the difficulties of the establishment period and immediately started working at full capacity.

What is your clinic like today?

It is located in a densely populated area, with schools, shopping centers, and hospitals nearby. Our staff includes 15 people.

The clinic provides a full range of dental services, and children and pregnant women have access to free treatment under the guaranteed amount of free medical care.

Our services include therapy, surgery, orthodontics, prosthetics, and implantation.

We already have something to be proud of; we are among the most modern digital dental practices. The clinic is equipped with the latest technology, and we use high-tech materials of imported origin. We will continue to develop and enhance our knowledge, as dentistry is a medical field that is constantly evolving, with more effective, painless methods of dental restoration emerging to create beautiful smiles. One must closely follow new trends.

It is crucial for me to maintain patient trust. Quality is my priority. I want my clients to leave with a beautiful smile and good mood. That's why I chose the name for the clinic: BeSmile.

Why did you choose Nurbank as your partner?

We had successful work experience long before obtaining the first loan and opening a credit line. In the future, we plan to cooperate only with Nurbank. We encountered no major difficulties in obtaining credit, as the bank's specialists were attentive and quick, assisting us with every question. I selected this bank because it is stable and reliable, having existed for over 30 years, earning loyal clients and a reputation as a reliable partner. Many of my colleagues have also been working with it for years.

What goals have you set for yourself?

The busy season began in September, and our clinic has already become cramped. Many doctors want to work with us, but we lack chairs for work. By the end of the year, we plan to open our second branch and will once again approach Nurbank.

In the near future, we intend to purchase new equipment: a microscope and a CAD/CAM system for computer modeling and production of dental prosthetics. Although our clinic is universal, it leans more towards orthopedic treatment and prosthetics. Therefore, it is essential for us to stay in trend and use modern digital methods that automate the creation of dental prosthetics.

Globally, our task is to establish a chain of BeSmile dental clinics not only in Uralsk but also in other cities.

What advice would you give to novice entrepreneurs?

The most important thing is not to be afraid. And however banal it may sound, it's never too late to learn. Let me tell you about my mother's search for a passion. She has always been in business, but at the age of 48, she decided to enroll in a pharmaceutical faculty and successfully graduated. She then opened her own pharmacy. Thanks to my mother, I became more courageous. She instilled in me the belief that one must pursue their dream despite fears and doubts.

Moreover, to achieve something, one must work, and work hard.

Once you open your business, the most important thing is to assemble a reliable team and choose the right partners.

What do you think is the most important aspect of your profession?

A doctor is a creative profession. Many think we operate according to strict protocols and verified schemes, but that's only part of our work. It is vital to find common ground with patients. Often, people bring not only complaints related to their condition when visiting a doctor but also anxiety, stress, and guilt. My duties do not end with successfully completing a procedure. I support my patients, building trust between us, and communication is needed for this. It's aptly said that words heal, and every doctor should be somewhat of a psychologist. My colleagues and I often smile and laugh. It's not just a professional habit. We love and value our clients, being friendly with them and delighted when they are well.
