On September 29, 2021, the Board of Directors of Nurbank decided to appoint Gulnara Musataeva as Chairwoman of the Management Board. This was reported to the Kapital.kz business information center by the bank's press service.
Previously, Gulnara Musataeva held the position of Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board of Nurbank, overseeing legal matters, as well as managing the bank's collateral services, the claims and litigation department, advertising and public relations, personnel management, and administrative services. She also oversaw the retail and card business units.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the shareholders and the Board of Directors for their trust. Nurbank has been present in the market for almost 30 years. The bank is growing and holding a stable position in the financial market. We have great plans for further qualitative development, confident growth in the credit portfolio in retail, corporate sector, and SME, as well as expanding our range of services and products using advanced technologies," commented the new Chairwoman of the Management Board.
In this position, Gulnara Musataeva succeeded Eldar Sarsenov, who left the post due to acquiring the status of a major shareholder of the bank.
Gulnara Abaevna Musataeva was born on December 28, 1967. In 1990, she graduated from Karaganda State University with a degree in Law.
From 1993 to 1994, she worked as a state notary in a public notary office.
From 1994 to 1997, she held the position of senior, leading legal counsel in the Legal Department of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
From 1997 to 2001, she was the chief legal counsel, head of the department at People's Savings Bank of Kazakhstan.
From 2008 to 2011, she was the head of department, deputy director of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Market Regulation and Financial Organizations Supervision.
From 2011 to 2020, she was appointed as Managing Director, member of the Management Board of Nurbank.
From December 2, 2020, she held the position of Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board of Nurbank.
