Nurbank Supported the Innovative Educational Project Jana Bilim Hub

Nurbank sponsored the "Education Forum 2026" event, held on August 13-14 in Kostanay with the support of the Jana Bilim Hub project. The forum brings together representatives from the education sector, business, and EdTech companies.

Participants will work through the most significant moments related to improving the education process, considering the modern agenda and current challenges. Over the two days, attendees will learn about new approaches and modern tools in education, as well as the latest EdTech solutions. Following the sessions, participants will have the opportunity to discuss pressing issues regarding the quality of modern education, exchange views with leading experts in the field, and find new ideas for developing educational projects and organizations. Each forum participant will become a full-fledged member of a professional community that shapes the future of educational processes.

The forum's idea is formulated as: "Human capital is the strategic foundation for regional development: quality of education and priorities for the new academic year." Special attention is given by the organizers to material innovative proposals in education. Thus, attendees can learn about solutions in robotics, AI, digital technologies, educational materials, and many other areas that demonstrate how the learning process is transforming today and what it will look like tomorrow.

Social Activity

Nurbank consistently focuses on socially significant projects in the field of education. In Nurbank's product line is the specialized educational deposit "AQYL" participating in the unified voluntary savings system "Keleshek." In addition to the interest rate, the deposit terms include an annual state bonus ranging from 5% to 7% of the deposit amount. The higher 7% bonus is intended for the following categories: orphans, children left without parental care, persons with disabilities, children from large families, and children from low-income families. More detailed information about the educational deposit terms can be found on the bank's official website.

Nurbank has been implementing its proprietary social project "Pathway to Life" for many years. As part of the program, the bank provides an opportunity for graduates of children's institutions and young people left without parental care to obtain higher education at Caspian University in Almaty. The bank genuinely cares about the program's participants, providing education, housing, food, and transportation, as well as covering expenses for monthly scholarships. The exceptional importance of the program has been duly noted by the public. In 2015, "Pathway to Life" was recognized as the best social and charitable project in Almaty as part of a competition among business structures in the banking sector and republican organizations "From Heart to Heart." However, the program remains relevant, which is also highlighted by well-deserved awards. In particular, last year the bank was awarded the international Employer Brand Eurasia award, recognizing the best practices in employer brand building and promotion. The victory was in the Alumni Program nomination with our social project "Pathway to Life." The project was launched in 2014 on the initiative of the bank's shareholder, Eldar Sarsenov. This year, the 13th intake for the 2026-2027 academic year was initiated. Over the entire existence of the "Pathway to Life" program, Nurbank has helped more than 85 young people find their "Pathway to Life."

Current Products and Services

Following the digital transformation strategy for 2025-2027, the bank consistently offers its customers current digital services. Notably, Nurbank was the first in Kazakhstan to introduce a unique money transfer selection service. The system's functionality allows users to compare available transfer options in one digital interface, considering commission, sending conditions, and customer ratings. Whereas previously customers had to independently study the conditions of various money transfer systems, now all information is available in the Nur24.kz application. The service allows users to view all available money transfer systems for the selected country, compare conditions and commissions, explore customer reviews, and leave their own feedback.

Nurbank has also joined the interbank QR code system. Initiated by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the interbank QR code system aims to standardize and simplify cashless transactions between different financial institutions that have joined the designated service. Through the Mobile Payment Interbank System, customers can make payments and transfers using the interbank QR code, regardless of which bank they are serviced by. This ensures greater availability and convenience of financial transactions and will significantly benefit small and medium-sized business representatives by eliminating the need for multiple terminal installations.

Nurbank traditionally excels in supporting SMEs. The "Business Hanym" program, aimed at supporting female entrepreneurship, is deservedly popular. Incidentally, Nurbank is among the first banks in Kazakhstan to join the global initiative supporting women's business WE Finance Code. The initiative aims to expand access to financing for women-run and owned businesses. Additionally, Nurbank actively collaborates in the field of business support in partnership with the Damu Fund, including the programs "Өрлеу" and "Іскер аймақ." Products aimed at supporting farmers are available in the form of a preferential lending program under an agreement with JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" (via the "Ken Dala 2" program).

Overall, Nurbank offers a wide range of banking products, including loans and deposits, that meet all current demands of the banking services market. More detailed information about the products and services offered can be found on the bank's official website.
