Beware of fraudsters

Common fraud schemes that allow fraudsters to transfer money from an account, take out loans in someone's name, and conduct other operations on behalf of the client:

  1. Call claiming to be a bank employee reporting a suspicious transaction. They extract personal information, request a password change in your personal account, and ask for the new password and secret code from SMS messages.
  2. Call and inform about possible theft of money from the client's account and suggest urgently transferring the funds to a "mirror account", "insurance agent", or "safety deposit box" etc. Using special software, fraudsters can call seemingly from the bank's number or a number very similar to it.
  3. Send messages via email or messengers with information about charity events, unique financial services, prize lotteries, and more. These contain links prompting to enter personal data or conduct banking operations. Once the person inputs their card details, fraudsters withdraw money. The link may also contain a virus granting access to your application.
  4. Call claiming someone is trying to access the personal cabinet of your application and suggest downloading an app for additional security. This app actually provides scammers access to your phone. Subsequently, they can make calls and perform financial operations on behalf of the client.
