The social program of JSC 'Nurbank', 'A Ticket to Life', was recognized as the best social project in Almaty as part of a competition for the best charitable project among business structures of the banking sector and republican organizations 'From Heart to Heart'.
The competition is organized by the Republican State Institution 'Public Accord' under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the Year of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The aim of the competition is to promote public consensus and consolidate Kazakhstani society by overcoming social stratification through charitable assistance to low-income segments of the population. On November 27, in Astana, the best social projects will be selected at the republican level.
It should be recalled that as part of Nurbank's 'A Ticket to Life' social program, in 2015, 17 graduates from orphanages in three regions of Kazakhstan — South Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, and North Kazakhstan — were admitted to Caspian University, and in 2014, 10 graduates from orphanages in Almaty. Currently, they are second-year students. Thus, 27 orphanage graduates are currently studying at the university. Within the program, the bank covered the costs of tuition fees, monthly scholarships, travel tickets, meals, and accommodation in Almaty. Additionally, students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to work in numerous regional branches of the bank in the future.
