PRESS RELEASE
Almaty, May 30, 2014
Nurbank announced the traditional campaign 'Time to Give Warmth' ahead of Children's Day. As part of the campaign, festive events will be organized in 16 cities of Kazakhstan for boarding school pupils, orphans, and children without parental care.
'Children's Day is primarily a reminder to adults of their ability to provide a wonderful future for many children deprived of parental care. If you have the opportunity to help with words, deeds, money, attitude - it doesn't matter how or what - it's important to realize this opportunity and definitely help! These positive impressions may stay with them for a lifetime,' said Kantar Orynbaev, Chairman of the Board of JSC 'Nurbank'.
Furthermore, Nurbank supported the group 'Dudar-ai', consisting of four pupils of Children's Home No. 1 in Almaty: Yermek, Serik, Kairzhan, and Akhmet. As part of the campaign, Kantar Orynbaev, together with the children, visited a men's clothing store in Almaty, where the young musicians chose suits for participation in various singing contests.
Among the many charitable and sponsorship projects implemented, 'Nurbank' pays special attention to the most vulnerable segments of the population. The campaign 'Time to Give Warmth' is annual and held by 'Nurbank' throughout Kazakhstan to provide material assistance to orphans and children without parental care. Since 2008, 'Nurbank' has been a partner in the joint social project 'Way Home' with TC 'KTK', aimed at promoting the adoption of orphans. The main goal of the project is to help orphans find a new family. According to Mr. Orynbaev, this program not only draws public attention to this issue but also has a tangible impact on solving this social problem.
'According to our estimates, thanks to the 'Way Home' project, about 300 Kazakhstani children have found families,' concluded Mr. Orynbaev.
