On August 24, 2013, Nurbank held a charity event at the Dibek Equestrian Club for students of special (correctional) boarding school No. 8 for children with developmental delays, orphans, and children without parental care. The bank's top managers organized a vibrant and memorable celebration for the children.
"For the second consecutive year, students from Boarding School No. 8 spend their summer vacations at the Dibek Equestrian Club. We decided to seize the opportunity and spend the weekend with the children, believing that 'live communication' with adults would benefit them. Such meetings have become a tradition for the Bank. However, the children's play program at the equestrian club was organized for the first time," said Nurbank's CEO Kantar Orynbaev.
Currently, 31 children aged nine to seventeen reside at the Dibek Equestrian Club. During the event, a drawing competition, a horse breeding quiz, and a pull-up contest were organized in the first half of the day. As a result, bankers awarded children with MP-3 players and backpacks. During the event, the children actively participated in the contests and showcased to bankers their horseback riding skills acquired over the holiday at Dibek.
"In our equestrian club, studying, working, and resting are organized like in a real family. Here, the children reveal a different side of themselves. Over the summer holidays, we taught the children how to handle horses, gave them basic riding skills, and taught them how to take care of flowers. The children enjoy it here very much," said Galym Kenzhebayev Bursakbayev, the manager of LLP Equestrian Club Dibek.
In the second half of the day, bankers played sports games with the children, and then a dance show ballet gave a hip-hop dance masterclass, concluding the event with a disco.
"Every child here needs attention, and today we tried to fulfill that need. By initiating this form of charitable support, we manage, albeit briefly, to give children a sense of family, joy, and care," concluded K. Orynbaev.
