Regional Entrepreneurs Forum in Karaganda

JSC Nurbank participated in the regional Entrepreneurs Forum held on October 10, 2012, in Karaganda. The event allowed local businessmen to learn more about the "Business Roadmap 2020" program implemented by JSC "Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund".

According to the official website of "Damu", the forum was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund" Ernar Nurgaliev. Speaking to the audience, he detailed the directions of the "Business Roadmap 2020" program and provided real examples from across Kazakhstan and specifically from the Karaganda region.
The forum served as a platform for discussion between business and government, as reported. The event was also attended by the new akim of Karaganda, Meyram Smagulov, Deputy Akim of the region Anuar Akhmetzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "National Agency for Technological Development" Aytilau Baurzhan, as well as representatives of local SMEs. During the event, current issues of Karaganda entrepreneurs and state support for SMEs were discussed.

Parallel to the forum was an exhibition showcasing products from leading local manufacturers — JSC "Karaganda Candies", LLP "KazAviaSPEKTR", LLP "Trei-Karaganda", JSC "KZELTO", LLP "Electrotechnics Fabrikas", LLP "IPKON", and many others. The stands of financial institutions such as "Damu" Fund, JSC "Bank CenterCredit", JSC "Bank RBK", and JSC "Eurasian Bank" attracted visitors’ keen interest.

Consultants from the Entrepreneur Support Center at the Regional Branch of the "Damu" Fund in the Karaganda region actively participated in the exhibition. Fortunately, there were many businessmen eager to learn in detail about the "Business Roadmap 2020". It is encouraging that the majority of entrepreneurs are familiar with this program.

Currently, over 14,000 small and medium-sized business entities are registered in Karaganda, employing about 97,000 people in this sector. Entrepreneurs actively use the support measures provided by the state, which creates a favorable environment for SME growth.
