Nurbank Confirmed Reliability Rating

Nurbank Confirmed Reliability Rating

Due to changes in the institutional structure of the RK and the revision by "S&P Global Ratings" of the assessment of development trends and sectoral risks of the banking sector, the agency confirmed the ratings of 8 Kazakh banks.

The international rating agency "S&P Global Ratings" confirmed the credit ratings of JSC "Nurbank" at "B-/B", with a "Stable" outlook.

Agency experts noted that their forecast assumes no need for additional capital injections in 2022, a growth in the loan portfolio by approximately 5-7%, and costs for creating additional provisions equivalent to 3% of the average loan portfolio over the next two years.

"In the current complex geopolitical and economic situation, it is extremely important to keep the situation under control and maintain the Bank's reliability and stability at the previous level.

The bank has a strong liquidity cushion, we observe growth in the deposit portfolio (up 15.3% in 2021), and an increased share of the market mass segment - all this ensures the reliability of Nurbank," said Gulnara Musataeva, Chairwoman of the Management Board of JSC "Nurbank".

This year, the bank plans to grow the loan portfolio by 9%, increase the client base for the deposit portfolio, thus ensuring a deposit portfolio growth of 7%, and increase fee income. Plans include a consistent increase in the bank's competitiveness, maintaining the most comfortable conditions for clients, with a focus on developing the retail business direction as an integral attribute of a universal bank.
