The scandal involving the disclosure of personal data of Almaty resident Anna Dimitrievich has turned into a real detective story. This time, the woman discovered that one of the banks had collected information about her credit history. She went there to find out why and for whom this was necessary. What Dimitrievich learned further complicated her story.
Trying to understand who is gathering a whole dossier on her and for what purpose, Anna Dimitrievich received a new batch of considerations through the electronic government portal. The service usage history indicated that without her knowledge, a certificate of address and information about real estate ownership were issued at the CSON to an employee of an appraisal company. The day before, the credit bureau received a request for Anna's credit history from one of the banks.

Anna Dimitrievich:

- We have a law regarding the credit bureau, and the recipient (they are the recipients) can request information on the subject (meaning me) only with consent, my consent.

In the bank, they do not deny this. They say everything happened when a certain woman came to an electronics store to apply for a loan to buy expensive equipment. But instead of an identity document, she presented a copy of it.
Aigul Kasenova, spokesperson of JSC "Nurbank":

- Since the copy of the ID was of poor quality and it was difficult to verify if she was the one in the photo, he decided to send it to the security service for verification. This is a standard procedure. The security service (this is all legal) then requested confirmation from the first credit bureau. Since the check took some time, the client began to get nervous and took back the copy of the ID, saying she would bring the original soon, and went to her car for the original. As the client did not return, the manager declined the loan application, and consequently, the request from the first credit bureau was withdrawn.

Anna claims she never applied for a loan and is outraged that her data was attempted to be obtained using a copy of her ID. The bank assures that, without waiting for the original document, the manager tried to check if a fraudster was trying to pull off a scam.

- We believe our employee showed vigilance, preventing a fraudulent action.

Anna Dimitrievich has her own version of the events.

Anna Dimitrievich:

- My acquaintance had a copy of my ID; therefore, they used it to obtain all certificates. Including the report from the first credit bureau JSC "Nurbank" was taken using this copy. I think it was to take out a loan under my name.

Now, law enforcement agencies have to unravel this complicated scheme.

Why did the appraisal company employee freely receive certificates for another person at the CSON, and is this linked in some way to the bank that requested Anna Dimitrievich's credit history? She already suspects her friend in this scam.
