Start of the Program for Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship

JSC 'Nurbank' is one of the first five second-tier banks to begin implementing the Program for Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship.

Today, JSC 'Nurbank' and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund 'Damu' signed a loan agreement for further lending to small business entities under the Program for Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021.

The funds received by JSC 'Nurbank' in the first tranche amounting to 1,043,087,222 tenge will be distributed for the development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship in the following regions: Almaty city, Akmola region, Aktobe region, Almaty region, East Kazakhstan region, Zhambyl region, Karaganda region, Pavlodar region, North Kazakhstan region, South Kazakhstan region.

The aim of this Program is to assist in productive employment of the population and involve citizens in entrepreneurship, as well as to increase the income of the self-employed and unemployed by creating conditions for their productive employment.

A feature of the current Program is that both existing entrepreneurs and beginners, so-called startups, whose state registration as an individual entrepreneur or legal entity is less than one calendar year, can participate.

Thus, the participants of the Program can be unemployed, regardless of registration in employment centers, self-employed with entrepreneurial potential, agricultural cooperatives and their members, who obtain the status of a small business entity, including microbusiness, before applying for a loan.

Program participants can attract funds for expanding existing and creating new productions, repairing and purchasing equipment, that is, for investment purposes. Also, with the help of the Program, small business entities can purchase necessary raw materials or, for example, pay taxes, that is, direct the received funding to replenish working capital.

Financing under the program will be carried out on terms that are currently among the most favorable and best on the market:

  • loan/microloan amount up to 8,000 MCI.

  • interest rate of 6% per annum, financing term up to 5 years.

  • no sectoral restrictions, which provides the opportunity to implement projects in any sector of the economy.

  • no commissions, fees, and other payments related to lending.

Moreover, the Program also provides the possibility to support small business entities in case of insufficient collateral. Program participants are entitled to receive a partial guarantee from JSC 'EDF 'Damu' as security for the entrepreneur's loan obligations.
