Recommendations and Safety Compliance Guidelines

Recommendations and Safety Compliance Guidelines

Dear clients of JSC "Nurbank"

We remind you of the recommendations and safety compliance guidelines when managing your finances.

When performing operations with a bank card over the Internet, follow these recommendations:

  • Be sure to install and use antivirus software on your computer and regularly update it along with other software products you use (operating system and applications) to protect yourself from malware intrusion.
  • Use only well-known and reputable trade and service websites.
  • Always ensure the accuracy of website addresses you are connecting to and making purchases from, as similar addresses may be used for illicit activities.
  • It is recommended to make purchases only from your own computer to maintain the confidentiality of personal data and/or banking card (account) information. If purchases are made using someone else's computer, it is recommended not to save personal data and other information on it, and after completing all transactions, make sure that personal data and other information have not been saved (by reloading the seller's web page where purchases were made in the browser).

Recommendations for protecting mobile devices when using SMS services.

To avoid cases of mobile devices being "infected" with malware and increasing the risk of external interference when using SMS services, the Bank recommends the following:

  • Install and timely update licensed antivirus software on mobile devices from leading manufacturers. Set up automatic updates for antivirus databases.
  • Download and install programs (applications) only from official sources. When using external storage devices, set them up for automatic virus checks upon connection.
  • Do not install applications from unknown sources on a mobile phone/device where the "MobiPass" application for confirming one-time passwords is installed. The bank never sends links or instructions to install applications via SMS/MMS/Email messages.
  • If you lose a mobile phone/device, whose number was indicated in the SMS notification service connection statement, or if the SIM card fails, immediately contact the Bank and block access to remote services (Internet banking, SMS notification), or change the mobile phone number directly at the Bank branches by filling out an application with a Bank manager.
  • Never disclose your bank card details (card number, expiration date, name, and surname printed on the card, PIN code, secret CVV/CVV2 code printed on the back of the card, type of plastic card) to callers, nor disclose logins, passwords, and confirmation codes provided to clients under connected banking services.
  • We recommend bank clients to install antivirus protection on their phones/devices when connecting to SMS services.
