The beneficial owner of Nurbank, Eldar Sarsenov, has become the Chairman of the Board of Directors of this financial institution. He assumed his responsibilities in this role on November 13, 2024, as reported by Forbes Kazakhstan on November 15 by the bank's press service.
Before being elected, Sarsenov was a member of the Board of Directors of Nurbank. This body was headed by Raushan Yerzhanova (who is also the CEO and a board member of the insurance company "Victoria" and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nurbank’s subsidiary company Money Experts). On November 8, during a general meeting of Nurbank shareholders, it was decided to increase the number of the board from three to six people. Yerzhanova remained as a member. Independent director Rustem Kamaliyev also retained his position. Additionally, the board was joined by three new members — board member Eliza Kozykeeva and two independent directors, Aslan Talpakov and Iskander Vakhitov.
