To understand what to pay attention to when choosing reliable windows that can withstand the whims of our weather and serve you for many years, we talked with the director of the company Sole Proprietorship "Lider Plast" Daniyar Akimbekov. Daniyar has been installing windows and doors, and glazing balconies for over 12 years and knows everything about window solutions.

 

– Daniyar, how long has your company been operating in the services market of East Kazakhstan region?

– The company "Lider Plast" was founded in 2012. Currently, we are engaged in balcony glazing and the installation of plastic, metal-plastic, PVC windows, and doors in the East Kazakhstan region. Thanks to the high quality of work and moderate pricing policy, we enjoy the trust of consumers. Our clients recommend us to their acquaintances, which indicates the high quality of the services we provide.

 

– What types of plastic windows does your enterprise produce?

– For the manufacture of our window and door structures, we use high-quality materials from the Smart system profiles made in Kazakhstan. These profiles provide excellent sound and heat insulation, and due to their high quality, they withstand decades of operation. Particularly important for our region, such structures are resistant to temperature fluctuations and profiles successfully withstand extreme frosts and heat. Despite all their advantages, such windows remain affordable in price.

 

– How many chambers do you recommend for window installation in our region?

– I would recommend five-chamber profile windows for residents of the East Kazakhstan region. The width of such a profile is 70 mm, and the thickness of the glass unit starts at 40mm. The thicker the profile, the lower the freezing percentage, which means it's warmer in the house.

 

– Can windows be installed in winter?

– In the conditions of our long winters, we have adapted to work even in cold weather. Of course, we do not recommend installing windows at extremely low temperatures. Therefore, we carry out installation work at temperatures not lower than -20 °C.

 

– What is the process of window manufacturing and installation?

– The entire process is completed promptly within 20 days. Firstly, a measurer takes accurate measurements on-site at the client's place, then the order is sent to the workshop where the window is manufactured, and finally, the installers set it up at the site. After installation, a quality check is conducted. The client is satisfied, we are proud of the high level of our service and continue striving for perfection.

 

– What details should the client pay attention to when receiving the completed work?

– It is necessary to check the integrity of the structure itself, the absence of scratches and chips, and the operability of the fittings.

 

– What can you highlight as the strong point of your production?

– Because we purchase parts for our products directly from suppliers, windows and doors in our company are significantly cheaper compared to most of our market competitors. We also often hold promotions that allow our clients to buy windows and doors at a discount, and for us, it's an additional opportunity to increase our company's recognition among the population. For instance, in February of last year, we launched a promotion in social networks called "Balcony for 360,000 tenge". The promotion was so successful that today our competitors are already repeating similar initiatives.

 

– Was it challenging to develop a business in your field?

– Launching a new business always involves risks. However, after graduating from university, I was determined to develop my own business. We started small – with the installation of slopes for windows and doors, collaborating with about 20 companies that ordered this specialized work for their projects from us. Over time, gaining experience, we expanded the range of services and began installing plastic windows and doors independently. This allowed us to significantly increase our turnover and even surpass many companies in performance.

The main problem in our business is the annual rise in material prices, especially for double-glazed windows. There are no glass manufacturers in Kazakhstan, so we are entirely dependent on foreign suppliers and their pricing policy. This year, plastic will rise by another 5%, and it is very discouraging, considering that prices are rising for everything, but salaries remain unchanged. Understanding these difficulties, our company tries not to overcharge, making our services more accessible to clients.

 

– Tell us a bit about your workshop. Do you plan to expand production?

– At the initial stage, we rented premises and equipment on which we manufactured our products. Then we purchased our own equipment, but due to a lack of funding, we continued renting the premises. In 2022, thanks to the financial support of JSC "Nurbank", we acquired our own premises. The loan is subsidized by JSC "Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu". On the loan funds, we also bought a truck with which we carry out the transportation of finished orders today. In 2024, we opened another credit line at Nurbank, also subsidized by "Damu", to replenish working capital. Thanks to the loan received, we managed to increase the productivity of the workshop, and today we intend to build another workshop covering 500 m2 to bring in new equipment and increase production capacity.

 

– Why did you choose Nurbank for financing?

– Tell us about the largest order?

– In 2020, we were entrusted with the work of installing the facade of a large shopping center in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The main difficulty in this project was the size and weight of the windows - to install two-meter heavy tempered glass panes, we had to attract a lifting device. In the end, we successfully completed this project.

 

– How are things with competition in your niche?

– The competition is quite tough. Ten years ago, there were about 40 companies in the city engaged in the production and installation of plastic windows and doors, but now there are more than 100. Moreover, unscrupulous companies from other regions often enter the market, undercutting prices to get government contracts for glazing schools, kindergartens, and hospitals. Unfortunately, for many customers, the main selection criterion is the price, not the quality. But as practice shows, the consequences of poor-quality work become noticeable at the first cold snaps, and such companies often disappear without a trace. Unlike them, our windows and doors, when properly operated, last for decades, maintaining their original look and effectiveness.
