For many years, charitable activities have been an integral part of the corporate culture of AO "Nurbank". The bank holds the annual Charity Music Run, a fundraising event designed to unite health enthusiasts and runners for the benefit of children with cancer. Traditionally, all funds raised are directed towards purchasing equipment for the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, as reported by the bank.
On October 23, 2022, the Charity Music Run took place in Almaty, gathering over 1,500 running enthusiasts of all ages and becoming a true sports festival for the city residents.
The registration fees of the participants were used to purchase multifunctional medical beds, which facilitate rehabilitation and treatment by supporting the most comfortable positions of certain parts of the child's body through adjustable tilt angles.
"Thanks to the participants of the Charity Music Run and our bank's contribution, we managed to purchase six expensive multifunctional beds for the intensive care unit of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery. They will help young patients feel more comfortable after complex surgeries and recover faster. Our run's mission is to help while promoting a healthy lifestyle. For each participant, it is important not only to challenge themselves but also to make invaluable contributions to a good cause. Konstantin Eduardovich Khairov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Surgical Unit of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, stated: "Today we received multifunctional modern beds for the intensive care unit of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery. The center is a unique medical institution where our highly professional doctors save hundreds of young lives daily. Every year, the oncology and hematology department treats 2,500 children."
The specialist noted that the center has a good tradition of cooperation with the Charity Music Run organizer, AO "Nurbank". Thanks to participants and sponsors' support, in 2018, washrooms and showers were repaired for parents whose children are being treated in the oncology department. In 2019, the funds raised were used to purchase medical equipment: dewars for storing stem cells necessary for bone marrow transplants. "We thank "Nurbank" and all the run participants for donating beds for our patients," added Konstantin Khairov.
