АО “Nurbank” provided its financial results for January-March 2018. 

The net profit compared to the first quarter of last year increased by 104 times and amounted to 1.381 billion tenge. Profit before tax increased by 86 times to 1.385 billion tenge.

Share capital remained unchanged at 127,611 million tenge. The bank's equity increased by 5.4% to 55.378 billion tenge.

The assets of Nurbank increased during the reporting period of 2018, amounting to 360.126 billion tenge (increased by 1% year-on-year).

Accounts and deposits in banks of AO and other financial institutions amounted to 5.1 billion tenge. 

Data on customer loans:

- to large enterprises: 141.250 billion tenge;

- to small and medium-sized enterprises: 49.910 billion tenge;

- to retail customers: 36.836 billion tenge.

According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Nurbank ranked 14th among 32 Kazakh banks in terms of assets by the end of the first quarter of 2018, reports Interfax Kazakhstan.

Nurbank began its financial activities on August 3, 1992, in Atyrau and remained in this city until 2003. Eleven years after its opening, the head branch moved to Almaty.

The largest shareholder of the bank is LLP “JP Finance Group” (88.4%). The bank's subsidiaries include JSC “DO JSC ‘Nurbank’ Insurance Company ‘Nurpolis’”, JSC “DO JSC ‘Nurbank’ ‘Money Experts’”, LLP “DO JSC ‘Nurbank’ Leasing Company ‘Nur Leasing’”, and LLP “OUSA ‘NB’”. 

The Chairman of the Management Board of the bank for 5 years (since November 30, 2012) is Eldar Sarsenov.
