Under Nurbank's social program 'Path to Life,' 17 orphanage graduates from Kazakhstan were admitted to Caspian University in 2015, reports the bank's press service.
Nurbank funds cover tuition, a monthly stipend, travel tickets, meals, and accommodation in Almaty for the students. After graduation, students will have the opportunity to work in the bank's regional branches.
Since last year, 10 students have joined the program, who are currently in their second year of study.
While in 2014 the program included graduates from Almaty, this year 17 students from three regions—North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, and South Kazakhstan—joined the university.
The program's students are keen on majors such as 'economics and finance', 'psychology', and 'Kazakh language and literature'. There are also scholars who will receive education in faculties such as 'geology and exploration of mineral deposits', 'nursing', 'architecture', 'oil and gas', and 'construction'.
