Applied Art Exhibition

Applied Art Exhibition

The French House hosts a unique applied art exhibition organized by Nurbank. The collection of exhibits has been assembled by the Bank over many years, and now residents and visitors of Almaty have a unique opportunity to witness this historical heritage firsthand. The collection includes jewelry from the 18th to 20th centuries, handmade carpets from the early 20th century, household items such as pitchers, kumgans, and samovars made of copper and brass from the 19th to 20th centuries, cold weapons, horse gear, and more. The oldest household item is a measuring mug from 1748, and the most unusual is a silver toothpick-ear cleaner with a ruby insert that belonged to Ablai Khan.
