How to open a card with a custom design

  1. Visit the website nurpay.kz
    • select Visa Gold
    • choose the account currency (KZT, USD, EUR)
  2. Create a unique card design
    • get acquainted with the image requirements
    • choose an image from the gallery, or upload your photo - your card image will appear
    • enter your phone number in the pop-up window (image verification results will be sent via SMS)
    • upon completion, a special code for the unique card design will be generated, for example, NBG80450592
  3. Contact the nearest Nurbank branch and inform the design code to the manager, completing the card issuance application
  4. Pay the card issuance fee. Upon receiving the SMS about the card readiness, pick up the card at the Nurbank branch

How to transfer 10 tenge from a Nurbank card account to cards of SMP (instant transfer system) participating banks via Nur24.kz?

Transfer conditions:

  • SMP transfers are only available in tenge

  • only accounts opened in tenge (current, card) are available for making transfers

  • to receive transfers, it is necessary to set the "Main card designation" flag in the Nur24.kz mobile app: on the Main page, click on your card's image, then click "Settings" and enable "Designate as main card" - transfers will be automatically credited to the chosen card. If the recipient has not set this flag on their card, the transfer will be credited in tenge to the account with a balance. If balances are equal on several accounts, the transfer will be credited to the account opened later

  • transfers are available in the Nur24.kz mobile app

  • an SMP transfer cannot be made from a deposit account, only after transferring funds to a current or card account

  • transfer amount restrictions - 500,000 tenge per transaction, 1,000,000 tenge per day, 4,000,000 tenge per month

What to do if you forget your PIN?

The card will be reissued:

  • Contact the Bank branch for card re-issuance
  • Wait for SMS notification about the card issuance
  • Visit the branch to collect the card

Important! To activate the new PIN, perform any transaction at an ATM by entering the PIN.

How to Change the PIN Code?

To change your PIN code, you need to go to a Nurbank ATM, insert your card, and enter the current PIN code:

  • select “Change PIN code”
  • enter the new PIN code
  • confirm the new PIN code entered

The ATM will issue a receipt confirming the successful PIN code change

What to do if the ATM 'swallowed' your card?

For card accounts opened after December 1, 2024:

  • The fee for debit cards is 1.5% of the transaction amount, minimum 1,000 tenge.

What is the 'Blocked Amount' in the Nur24.kz mobile app/card account statements?

A card transaction is divided into two parts:

  1. Authorization - checking the availability of funds on the card account for the transaction and blocking these funds on the card account (up to 40 calendar days). The blocked amount is not available to you for use.

  2. Financial document - the receipt of a financial document (up to 40 calendar days) initiates the process of transferring the blocked amount to the merchant and service enterprise where you made the card payment.

If the merchant and service enterprise cancels the transaction, the blocked amount becomes available for your use.

How to obtain a statement for a Nurbank card?

You can obtain a card statement in the Nur24.kz mobile app:

  • on the main page, click on the image of the card for which you want to generate a statement
  • click "Statement"

  • select the statement period and language, click the "download" button

To obtain a stamped statement, contact any branch of the bank

How to obtain an IBAN (20-digit account) and notification of IBAN account opening for the card?

You can obtain the account number / IBAN in the Nur24.kz mobile application:

  • on the main page, select the card for which you need the IBAN
  • Click on the «Additional information» option and copy the account number in the «Account number» field.

To receive a notification about the IBAN with a stamp, you need to contact the Bank branch.

What is the card conversion rate?

The non-cash purchase/sale exchange rate for card transactions is determined daily by the Bank and published on the Bank's website (link to the main page nurbank.kz). The blocked amount of the card transaction is recalculated at the rate of the day the financial document is received.

Can I open an additional card?

Yes, you can open additional cards by applying at a Bank branch. An additional card is a card issued to family members of the card account holder or other individuals, or to the card account holder in addition to the main card. The maximum number is no more than 5 cards.

At what age can one open a card?
  • A card account and card can be opened from the age of 14 with guardian's consent
  • An additional card to a guardian's card account can be opened from the age of 14
What documents are required to open a card for a minor?

To open a card for a minor resident aged 14 to 18, the following is required:

  • application from one of the parents/legal representatives, providing the birth certificate/passport of the minor, and providing documents proving the identity of the parent/legal representative
  • attendance of one of the parents/legal representative to sign the consent to open an account/issue a payment card to the minor

For residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan aged over 18 years, with a passport or ID, parental presence is not required to open a card.

How to close a card?

To close a card, you need to visit a Bank branch. Please bring with you an identity document.

Why are limits set on cards?

Limits are introduced for additional protection of your money from unlawful actions by third parties. In the Nur24.kz mobile application, you can set/change/cancel limits for conducting certain operations:

  1. You can set/change/cancel limits on the card in the Nur24.kz mobile application:

    • click on the card you want to set/change/cancel limits for on the main page:

      1. click “Limits”, “Modify” and specify the required limits for the amount of operation and the number of operations in the period

      2. click “Enable Internet transaction” or “Disable Internet transaction” to perform transactions online

  1. You can set/change/cancel limits through the Contact Center by dialing 2552 or by visiting a bank branch.

What are the transfer limits on amounts at Nur24.kz?

How to remove the limit on conducting online payments/transactions?

You can set restrictions on online payments and transactions by card in the Nur24.kz mobile app:

  • Open the Nur24.kz mobile app
  • Select the desired card
  • Click on «Enable/Disable internet transactions»
  • Confirm the operation with an SMS code

What should I do if my card is stolen or lost?

You need to temporarily block your card:

  • in the Nur24.kz mobile app - select the card and go to «Settings», choose the operation «Block Card»
  • via the Contact Center by calling 2552
  • Contact the Bank branches
What to do if you lose your phone with the Nur24.kz mobile application installed?

You need to temporarily block your cards and the Nur24.kz mobile application by contacting the Contact Center at 2552.

What should I do if funds were withdrawn, but I did not perform these transactions?

If money was withdrawn by unauthorized persons, you need to temporarily block your card:

  • In the Nur24.kz mobile app:
    1. Open the Nur24.kz mobile app
    2. On the main page, select the card you wish to unlock
    3. Click on “Settings”
    4. Select the “Block card” operation
  • Through the Contact Center by calling 2552
  • At a Bank branch

To determine the reasons for the withdrawal, please visit the nearest Bank branch and write a statement.

How many attempts do I have to enter the wrong PIN?

You have 3 attempts to enter the wrong PIN, and on the 3rd wrong attempt, the card is automatically blocked.

If you do not remember your PIN, please contact the Bank branch to reissue your card.

Where are Nurbank ATMs/terminals/branches located?

The exact location of ATMs and terminals can be found:

How long do I have to file a claim if the ATM didn't dispense cash but debited my account?

You can file a claim for a refund on any day.
You may submit your application at the nearest Bank branch within 30 days, and you need to bring your ID.

Does the payment terminal give change?

Payment terminals do not give change

Is there a fee for depositing into your account/card?
  • There is no fee for intra-bank transfers sent or received.
  • For transfers from cards/current accounts opened in other banks, the sending bank charges a fee, but when credited to Nurbank accounts, Nurbank charges no fee.
Can a third-party card be topped up and what do you need to know?

To top up, you need:

  • the recipient's full card number (for card-to-card transfer)
  • the recipient's phone number if transferring to a current account via phone number – RPM and         for intrabank transfer
  • current account number, TIN, and recipient's details for top-up through the Nurbank cash desk
  • current account number, TIN, and bank details if transferring to a current account opened in another bank
I lost my card or it has expired/is expiring. What should I do?

You can reissue your card by visiting the nearest Bank branch. A reissuance fee due to loss/theft will be charged according to the Bank's approved tariffs, while reissuance due to card expiration will be free of charge.

Is it possible to issue a card in foreign currency?

Yes, you can issue a card in Kazakhstani tenge, US dollars, and Euros.

How to top up a card from abroad?

Via transfer to the bank details of the card account.

Can I pay by card in online stores abroad?

Yes. You can make purchases abroad in countries where Mastercard and Visa international payment systems are accepted.

How can I unblock my card if I found/received it?

If the card was blocked via the Nur24.kz mobile app, please visit a Bank branch to submit an unblock request or you can unblock it yourself:

  • open the Nur24.kz mobile app
  • on the home page, select the card you wish to unblock
  • tap "Settings"
  • tap "Unblock Card"

If you previously blocked the card through a Bank branch, the card needs to be reissued.
